i am not a financial expert but personally a bit worried what happens if US treasury bonds yields get even higher, the market starts losing trust in the US dollar as reserve currency and big shifts start happening in financial market. Especially in times where trading is highly algoritmic and/or automated, scary things could happen?

Think about this, US treasury bonds are now trading at higher yields than Greek treasury bonds. In other words: the bond markets put greater faith in the Greek government’s ability to continue to finance its debt than in the US government’s ability to do so.
