Got the Toyhax set for #Transformers Legacy Vector Prime this week; I’d forgotten the set also included plastic shin covers to hide the exposed wires left over from the Jhiaxus mold. He looks so good now that I don’t think I want the DNA Design upgrade kit anymore.

Rewatching the Transformers: War for Cybertron trilogy. Can't stress how damn great it is. Excellent, gritty animation, but kids can still watch it, and it's solid for adults too. I feel like this is the Transformers stuff fans of the franchise since the 80s (such as myself) have always wanted, after that first classic movie in 1987.

My Masterpiece #Transformers collection is out of storage at last — well, as long as you don’t count the handful of boxed figures I haven’t unboxed yet, purchased after the rest went into storage.

Better photos will have to wait until I get the storage boxes out of the middle of the floor. But it’s nice to see them all on display again.

If you’re into #AI then you understand the role #NeuralNetworks and #transformers play in ‘reasoning’ and predictive processing. The ‘hidden layers’ are where the AI magic happens. But are we getting the most out of current architectures? This new study offers insights into what may be the next step in #ArtificialIntelligence… the CONTINUOUS THOUGHT MACHINE.

tl;dr
Neurons in brains use timing and synchronization in the way that they compute. This property seems essential for the flexibility and adaptability of biological intelligence. Modern AI systems discard this fundamental property in favor of efficiency and simplicity. We found a way of bridging the gap between the existing powerful implementations and scalability of modern AI, and the biological plausibility paradigm where neuron timing matters. The results have been surprising and encouraging.

A little context for this: I had stopped buying #Transformers around 1990; Action Masters and Beast Wars held no interest for me.

But when I saw the Car Robots toys and cartoon in 2000, and found out they’d be imported to the U.S., I was in love again. Vehicle Transformers were back, and with improved articulation and integrated weapon storage to boot! And the combiners! Rail Racer, the Build Team, and Omega Prime — I needed and acquired them all.

I couldn’t pass up an improved version, tho.

I haven’t seen a single research paper where they successfully stopped AI hallucination. They don’t have a plan, because this stuff isn’t intelligence, it’s autocomplete; next word prediction. AI is a VC marketing term and calling it hallucination is more make believe. It’s not hallucinating it’s incorrectly predicting. There’s no intelligence happening; there’s no emergent intelligence. it’s just regurgitating stuff some human did. When it makes a picture it’s 100% copy. #ai #agi #transformers #openai #conmen

I am watching two hairy adult hand manipulate a complicated transforming robot toy that frankly, would be wasted on children.
2006 era Dubstep makes for a good soundtrack to this, I'm not listening to what the creator is saying, big stomping robots and dubstep need no explanation.

"Go on....pop his robot head off......yeeessss!"
