Leisureguy<p>I made another great stew of the sort I enjoy. It struck me that I had not had chard for a long time, so for greens I used one bunch of rainbow chard. However, the black chard was so fresh and appealing that I also used a bunch of that. Leisureguy<p>Partial success with black quinoa and purple barley tempeh. The problem, I think, was the quinoa: difficult to dry after it's cooked.</p><p>Still, the slab was solid and I diced about 2 cups for the stew I was making. Where they myceliuam coating was present (most of the slab), it was exceptionally thick — due to extended fermentation, I imagine. Ganga<p>Good morning all you beautiful people. Another perfect day here in <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Adelaide" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Adelaide</span></a>. A week of such perfect weather - not as common these days.</p><p>Yesterday was such a beautiful day. A long and lazy lunch meeting at Plant 4 with clients where we teased out a nutty problem over 3 hours, Asian food and coffee.</p><p>A stop at my fav Asian grocery on the way home to browse and stock up on lots of <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/tofus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tofus</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/tempeh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tempeh</span></a>. There are SO MANY Asian greens in the shop atm, difficult to choose which ones to bring home. All fresh and gorgeous.</p><p>And BOXES of <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/DrumstickLeaves" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DrumstickLeaves</span></a> (Moringa Leaves) everywhere! I got a couple of LARGE bunches and will dry most and make something Indian with the rest. (I have tried for about 7 years to grow moringa here and it just won't grow. 😭 )</p><p>I got a few <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/mangoes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mangoes</span></a> as well, and will dehydrate them a la <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://toot.community/@sister_ratched" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>sister_ratched</span></a></span> for next week's last minute gifts. This Asian shop has the best range of mangoes, many types that we don't see in supermarkets or in most fruit and veg shops.</p>
Adrianna Tan<p>This is the first tempeh I’ve had on the west coast that tastes like tempeh to me.
