#Judges often don't require bonds in cases against the #government. In a case by two small toymakers against the #Trump admin #tariffs, the plaintiffs said the bond that had been requested by the government would be more costly than tariffs & would nullify the benefit of an injunction. The judge on Thurs set the bond at $100 & blocked the tariffs against the 2 companies.

Lawrence O’Donnell: one of the last honest voices in journalism—smart, sharp, and always right about the law.

While others were busy sane-washing #Trump, Lawrence said it for ages: those #tariffs were illegal. The #US. Court of International Trade just proved him right. Again.

Truth matters—and so does Lawrence. Oh, and taco, taco taco, taco ,taco, taco, 🌮!

The funny thing about Trump's new rant about losing on tariffs is that one of the judges who ruled against him *has strong protectionist sympathies.*He worked under Robert Lighthizer during Trump's 1st term!

The tariffs are extremely vulnerable legally -the whiplash in the courts underscores what a fiasco of uncertainty Trump has imposed on the US. Trumpworld will probably have to confront more adverse court rulings...

The lies are catching up with him.
