@tennoseremel Sorry I should have defined the term.

It's a way to group item of interest (e.g., several chat rooms, websites, blogs, forum, etc).

It's a feature very popular on networks such as Discord.

For instance, you can have a community of people (user of a project, a school, an association, a video game, whatever) and want to have a chat room for general talks, another for support, a forum for long term questions, a blog for news, etc. Space group them in a nice way.

The internet is good!

Absolutely love this project!!

"REFLECTIVE URBANISMS: Mapping New York Chinatown is an interactive web project that maps Manhattan Chinatown through its architectural changes. Here, transformations that have occurred in its buildings, since Chinatown was established in the 1860s, are visualized and investigated alongside community stories about these spaces. As a restorative history project, it aims to create an architectural archive that honors and connects these stories to the buildings. REFLECTIVE URBANISMS: Mapping New York Chinatown is part of a continuing series researching Chinatown architecture across North America, a project by artist and architect"

Jacques Tati’s “Playtime” is a playful visual treatise on modernity portraying the innate incompatibility between human nature and the Modernist expectations of behavior in space. Almost completely devoid of dialogue, shot on a massive set located near Paris known as Tativille, the film dissects Modernist architecture through one of its epitomes: the office building.

Journal · A Brief Guide to Modern Office Architecture Through the Movies - Architizer JournalThe following six films offer a unique glimpse of the birth of the modern office space and prophesize its inevitable disappearance.

I'm pro #tabs over #spaces in code for a couple of reasons

  1. A tab is a tab. It can be any width you want, it's more flexible.

  2. Spaces enforce a worthless width requirement.

And if you really want to use spaces, you can configure your IDE to transparently convert however many spaces you use to tabs.

#Musk opened the #Spaces apologizing for the delay, saying that “we unfortunately had a massive distributed denial of service” attack on the site that “saturated all our data lines.” He did not provide evidence for his claim. “As this massive attack illustrates, there’s a lot of opposition to people just hearing what *President* #Trump has to say,” he said. You’re on a linux-y machine and you want to convert tabs in a file to spaces (say, two) and your editor doesn’t support that (hello, Helix 👀):

expand my.file -t 2 > my.file.tmp && mv my.file.tmp my.file

(Updated as original version just deletes the original file.) 🤦‍♂️

(Or pipe to sponge but sponge isn’t available by default.)

I guess I should go for an #introduction I’m in human #geography I use my fieldwork about #FOSS #OpenData and #FreeCulture movement(s) to try and contribute to some core concepts of geography such as #places #spaces and #territories (no, I didn’t forget #networks ). I have also a great interest in #didactics of geography. I currently work as a teaching fellow (PRAG in French, not totally sure this is equivalent) at the Univ. of Bordeaux.
And I’m very happy to see so much new faces over here!
