I saw your post because of the #sculpture hashtag (which I use, too for my work).

'The Tree That Never Grew' on Hunter Street in the East End of Glasgow. This sculpture was created in 2010 by Jennifer Grant based on the words of poem telling the story of Glasgow written by Ingrid Lees in 2004.
Working on these today: the result of the flowers I sculpted. Nicely translucent!
There are still quite a few parts left to sculpt for this one, but it’s already looking nice. I might have to take a drill to make the back side bigger though - the LED doesn't quite fit anymore. A spooky thing to do with something so fragile... ah well!
Lovely run up to Loch Earn and on to Killin.
The mirror man is back on the shores of the loch, he was removed for a few years - not sure why..
Sadly it was a grey day else he would have shone and looked even more alien like

I love this sculpture by Francis Derwent Wood on 'The Hatrack' on St Vincent Street in Glasgow. It's officially described as a goat-head, but it seems more anthropomorphic than that to me.
My oh my, The Mind Benders class I taught at FOCI wrapped up last night and what a wonderful whirlwind! I had the most amazing students who time and time again, were so hungry for knowledge, and wanted to learn more and more.
We learned to bend neon, make digital vector patterns, blink the neon with programmable microcontrollers and I even showed them how they could work with a glassblower to pull their own tubes.
My TA, @dinkytown was incredible- typically fulfilling the class's needs before I even asked her. I am thrilled that she learned a bunch in the class.
It was able to train two FOCI staff members to bombard (the dangerous process of purifying and putting gas in the tubes)- so now FOCI neon renters can get their tubes filled quicker.
The artist talk and demo I gave was well attended, and now FOCI has the doodle I made during the demo in their permanent collection.
Woodlands Men by Sean Taylor. Erected in 1991 on the side of a modern block of flats on Ashley Street in the Woodlands area of Glasgow.
Sculptures on the front of the former Govan Press building on Govan Road in Glasgow. These are: Johannes Gutenberg, who introduced movable type printing to Europe; Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet; Mr and Mrs Cossar, who ran the Govan Press; Walter Scott, one of Scotland's first novelists; William Caxton, who introduced the printing press to Britain.
I love this Art Nouveau style version of the Glasgow Coat of Arms on one of the buildings of the old Lambhill Street School in the Kinning Park area of the city.
I made a dragon pot for @zmeyche
The body and the lid are wheel thrown. All the other details are sculpted by hand. I fired the dragon in my wood kiln at 1250°C.

A surprising aspect of walking through the city centre of Trondheim recently was in spotting the monument in its centre which we gathered was honouring the wielding of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and defeating the Rabbit of Caerbannog.
Love this sculpture by Francis Derwent Wood, Johan Keller and Richard Ferris over the entrance to the former British Linen Bank building on Govan Road in Glasgow.
Once a year, a full heart appears in this tomb.
The Evrard burial chapel, located at the entrance of Laeken Cemetery in Brussels, was built for Léonce Evrard and Louise Flignot, an affluent couple from France who settled in Laeken in 1891.
A breathtaking mausoleum born from a sculptor’s deep sorrow for his late wife

Nice article in #CascadiaDaily about one of our favorite local artworks, the "Non Sign II" sculpture at the Blaine border crossing:
Artrocity Studio presents its latest creation for children of all ages: "My First Pop-up Book of Giant Squid." The final product is over six feet (two meters) long.
Repurposed children's thick cardboard picture book, paper mache, colored poster board, acrylic paint and fixer.
