I consume them on a daily basis. It's a beautiful format and a magnificient way to access information.</p><p>I might replace my Inoreader subscription one day, but I don't know with what. Cyber-Fox 🏴‍☠️🐙<p>I have started again to use an RSS reader to follow blogs, photo galleries, forums and video channels.</p><p>It's so great to have everything followed by a single and local application, with no big tech algorythm. Only what I have choosen and how I want it.</p><p>And I have a lot of choices for the RSS reader application. From the most simple to a very complete and customizable one.</p><p>I love RSS.</p><p><a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/RSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSS</span></a><br><a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/RSSReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSSReader</span></a><br><a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/Blog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Blog</span></a></p>

The user interface in "Read You" is much cleaner and more visually appealing. It feels more modern and intuitive, which makes browsing through articles more enjoyable. 🍋 Superball ☀️<p>What’s a good RSS reader: one that uses a good browser for web access, doesn’t track me or ask for all my info, and isn’t otherwise enshittified? I don’t even need to use it for reading (yet?) per se but am putting RSS links on my website and want to see how it looks from a reader.</p><p><a href="https://norcal.social/tags/RSSreader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSSreader</span></a></p>

donthatedontkill<p>The tyranny of the algorithm. The one last site that I couldn't tear myself away from but had one was YouTube. I recently learned YouTube channels have RSS feeds. chris@strafpla.net<p>Two tips for <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> / <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/Fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fediverse</span></a> that may not be known to everyone:<br>1) You can link to your (a) User-Profile and filter by tags. So if you mark every post on a topic with the same hashtag, users **without** a Mastodon-Account have a way to stay up-to-date on - for example - your event notes or blog entries: <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/@Muellers_Kabinett/tagged/Rombergpark" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mstdn.strafpla.net/@Muellers_K</span><span class="invisible">abinett/tagged/Rombergpark</span></a><br>2) Most of Mastodon becomes an <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/RSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSS</span></a>-feed if you add ‘.rss' to the URL. So people can subscribe to users/tags/whatever in their <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/RSSReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSSReader</span></a>.</p>
chris@strafpla.net<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/@Muellers_Kabinett" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Muellers_Kabinett</span></a></span> Und alle (?) URLs funktionieren bei <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> auch sinnvoll als <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/RSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSS</span></a>, das ist zum Beispiel für die Leute interessant, die wie ich größere Mengen an Informationen über ihre <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/RSSReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RSSReader</span></a> konsumieren. Wenn ich Hendrik‘s Posts über das Velostudio (s.o.) zusammengefasst in meinem Reader haben will, damit ich nichts verpasse, hänge ich einfach ein .rss an den URL.<br><a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/Mastotipps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mastotipps</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/Reeder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Reeder</span></a><br><a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/@Muellers_Kabinett/tagged/velostudio.rss" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mstdn.strafpla.net/@Muellers_K</span><span class="invisible">abinett/tagged/velostudio.rss</span></a></p>
