Okay, so maybe the Debian installer didn’t include microcode by default? Or maybe I screwed it up when setting up that server? Or it broke over an update?
But, surely, if you were using an appliance like Proxmox for virtualization, such a system would have microcode updates enabled by default, right?
I have bad news for you.
You should probably check all your servers and OSes to see if microcode updates work!

Jemand lädt gerade massenhaft Bilder auf meinen #Immich hoch.
Sieht so als hätte das Vorführen der tollen Funktionen imponiert, mein Vater lädt Tausende Urlaubsfotos aus den letzten Jahrzehnten hoch und baut Alben.
Da läuft über jedes Bild die Objekt- und Gesichtserkennung drüber ;)

Ich finde diese Entscheidung auch nicht besonders prickelnd, allerdings sehe ich hier eine deutlich geringere "Lock-in"-Gefahr als bei vergleichbaren Produkten von z.B. VMware, da die eigentliche Dienstleistung wohl auf der Kubernetes-Umgebung, die gehostet wird, bereitgestellt wird.
Fokus dürfte neben der Kompatibilität zu SAP vor allem eine Reaktionszeit innerhalb eines 24/7 Supports gewesen sein und die Zertifizierung für den Einsatzzweck. Letzteres wird z.B. Proxmox vermutlich bisher nicht bereitstellen können. Des Weiteren wird es wahrscheinlich auch mehr Partner für das Google Produkt geben, die eine Auditierung für sicherheitsrelevante Infrastruktur überleben werden, als für vergleichbare Lösungen.
Einen sehr bitteren Beigeschmack bleibt halt, führt es einem doch vor Augen, welche Defizite wir haben.
#DigitaleSouveränitiät oder gar #DigitaleAutonomie geht wahrlich anders.
Vielleicht kann die #Bundeswehr hier mal Geld für ein #KRITIS-Projekt in Richtung #Proxmox werfen?

J'ai trouvé. En ajoutant le GPU à la VM via l'interface web, le bus n'est pas complet. Il lui manque un élément et cela fait planter le système. En éditant le fichier de config de la VM pour ajouter ce qui manque, tout fonctionne.
Je peux continuer le paramétrage de la VM.

Pour m'éviter des manipulations inutiles, je conserve l'ancien Proxmox qui contient le NAS. Dès que j'aurais la bonne carte contrôleur HBA, je bascule les HDD dans le nouveau boîtier et je recréé le NAS.
Pour cela, j'ai changé l'IP de Proxmox afin qu'elle corresponde à l'IP du futur NAS. J'ai eu un soucis inconnu qui m'a fait perdre les partages samba.
Un simple reboot du routeur a suffit à recaler tout cela. Ouf.
Je peux m'atteler à la réinstallation de Grosfarceur, mon mediacenter, que j'ai détruit par erreur hier :/ Heureusement, c'est un debian léger (AntiX) avec Kodi.
Voilà. C'est mieux. Une partition racine de 12 Go, 8 Go de swap (Proxmox en met automatiquement, j'ai donc limité). Ça me fait un petit 20 Go pour l'OS et tout le reste pour les VM ^^
En parallèle, mon pool ZFS a finit ces vérifications, j'ai pu faire l'export. Demain, je vais donc pouvoir déplacer physiquement les HDD et passer à la préparation des VM.

It went in through net-next, so likely won't be backported to stable kernels. But now I'm looking forward to #Proxmox using Linux 6.10, then I can drop the workaround firewall rule on the @chaotikumev server.
Is there a good resource for knowing which #gpu and #motherboard combinations (hardware and #bios) should work for #pciepassthrough #iommu under #proxmox for #llm ?
