Want to share your HTML creations and HTML Day inspired art with the Philly community? We'd be happy to collect any contributions to showcase back on the site :) If you end up making a html page during or after the event, or just think your art would vibe deeply with Philly grit regardless of whether you're from Philly, send it our way. Just keep in mind that we're limited in the file sizes we can work with, so we might also talk about image compression etc. before posting. For inspiration on what to make with HTML, you can check out the past #SundaySites prompts and submit to their collection too.

Sunday SitesSunday SitesWelcome to Sunday Sites! This is a place to write code and socialize. Around one Sunday a month or so, we meet on Gather and write HTML for around two hours. Each session is guided by an instruction, for example: “Pick a song you like and make a site based on its title.”

@ragman and I will be hosting HTML Day in Philadelphia on August 2nd! It's going to be a bit of an improv so you'll help shape what happens :)

Come hang out and write some HTML with us. Art supplies to share would be appreciated. Feel free to turn this into an impromptu distro of masks, zines, stickers, or anything else you have to share.

Wife's doing the tri in #Philly today and bringing home extra kids (nieces) for a week's worth of summer sleepover time this evening.

While sorting out the tracking (that I won't be paying attention to while outside doing tree work, so why) I noticed we actually have a bunch of people to root for! (A few random friends, a teacher, a BJJ partner, a baker, a candlestick maker...)

Kick ass ladies!

#Philly So now that #coyotes are in the #Wissahickon people are acting like they are dealing with dangerous creatures you should watch out for. I was walking the other day and so guy yelled out and said "Sir! Just letting you know that someone saw a coyote up ahead". I thanked him but I grew up with coyotes around all my life. Don't try to befriend them, make sure they have a healthy fear of humans, if they try to approach yell or throw things in their direction (not at them) . They want nothing to do with humans if they can help it. What IS in danger is your pets, they are tasty coyote chow. If anything, coyotes being here has been great because I have had to deal with WAY less entitled dog owners who let their #dogs run free. This is dangerous to other hikers and other dog owners. Leash your damned dogs for their own safety and others!

This organizer in #California says a farmworker strike is coming at the height of harvest season (dates yet to be announced).

Community support is making this happen. Mutual aid drives at protests, people delivering groceries to immigrants' homes so they can stay safe, people buying out vendors' stock, this has been going on for months now.

Combined with the #Philly strike you can see the writing on the wall.
