We are spotting some really interesting parasitoids developing - two or maybe three species. This implies we have some natural enemies of this re-emerging pest already present in the UK.

Permacultureandpolitics
I haven’t used Surround because it clogs sprayers. I bagged fruit instead, which isn’t too labor intensive if you do it while thinning, but is a waste of time if you do it much after about 5/1 in my area, because coddling moths are already looking for fruitlets in early May. I was late to bag, but still going to get a lot more usable fruit than if I hadn’t. But this year we also had 105 degree days in June, so lots of sunburn. Bags may have increased the burn. #orchards #permaculture

Permacultureandpolitics
Anthracnose virus on a young golden russet. Made me sad to find it too late to save the tree.
