I often see US software developer job postings in #healthcare and the blurbs always start something like "the healthcare system is broken and our product x is here to fix it blah blah blah..." and I'm always thinking "seems to me the key to fixing healthcare in the US is to add LESS things on top of it and just ask the #doctors and #nurses what they need."

#PaulWalczak, 55, joined his mother’s nursing home business after dropping out of college, eventually becoming CEO. She sold the company in 2007 & they invested $18M in a new #NursingHome in Florida, where they lived a luxurious lifestyle.
By 2011…Walczak had stopped paying employment #taxes.
2016–2019…he withheld >$10M from paychecks of #nurses, #doctors & others who worked at his facilities under the pretext of using it for their #SocialSecurity, #Medicare & federal income taxes.

Always money for War, never money for Schools and Hospitals.

We could prepare for war with Russia (we have no choice in that matter, blame Putin) AND have a decent social services, but then that would mean taxing the Rich, so we can only do one, and it won't be the NHS or Schools who get the funds.

I just see another Tory party who hates the British People.

The Guardian · Fears of fresh strikes as teachers and NHS doctors get 4% pay riseBy Denis Campbell

This morning, my mum died in hospital "after a short illness" to coin the classic phrase.

I just can't praise the clinical and support staff enough. They were all, to a person, caring, compassionate, supportive, helpful, respectful and willing to listen to mine and the family's questions and need to just talk. They also provided us with so much tea that I think I might not need any for a few days.
