Den Nationale Scene (The National Stage) in #Bergen, likely early 1920s.

The theatre was opened in 1909, and its premiere show was Erasmus Montanus, a satire on the meeting between educated pompous Danish elites and rural Norwegian farmers by Ludvig Holberg.

The entrance and foyer was bombed during the war, but rebuilt temporarily, before getting refurbished in 2001.

Easter, time to fry.

Here, from Høgabu, a cabin a couple of hours from Bergen, sometime in the years after WWII.

The "solvegg" ("sun wall") is a Norwegian term for the south-facing wall of a house (often in the context of a mountain cabin like this), which can get comfortably warm even though the temperatures might be low early in the year. This is where you partake in the Easter tradition sit down to get some sun, have an orange and some chocolate, and a coffee or other beverage. Wear sun screen, the snow doubles the sun's rays!
