It's only a week away until the moving truck arrives and puts an end to our 16 years in Caledon. Today, I'm taking some time to squeeze in 9 holes of golf with my brother, who has a cottage close to our new home. My car is packed with 11 different plants that we split from our current garden, over 70 individual plants for the new house. Two planters will have to wait for the next trip.
A throwback to April, when @eugecovernton and I went to Calais to prepare our last things for shipping them. Allegedly the container with our things has made it at least to Brazil so far!
I am moving today!
I am kinda glad I don't have much stuff because packing took me all of about an hour.

Movers arrive today. For as much as I’ve moved this is probably the biggest and most stressful one of all. I think it’s because it’s the first time we’re actually selling the house versus renting and moving into something that’s the same size. We are definitely downsizing and trying to get all of that figured out while working and getting prepared for the movers has been a lot. But today is the day! We are getting packed today and the truck is getting loaded on Monday and then we will hit the road on our way to #duluth #minnesota And honestly, I am so excited! #moving
I keep walking around my apartment with my stuff freshly unpacked after more than a month and I am tickled by having 3 different lamps I can turn on and off in different areas so there can be so many different amounts of light in the rooms

Does anyone know if Fedex drivers are allowed to leave your package up outside stairs if your apartment is up the stairs in a 4-plex?
Having a panic attack he'll leave the 2 very large rolled up area rugs at the bottom of the stairs, or worse at the front of the house and I will have to drag them around back and upstairs by myself

We did a site visit to the new house in Innisfil to plan our furniture placement and determine what we need to purge. My wife has a list of improvements that are "mandatory," so I guess it's a smaller, less expensive moneypit.
We also toured the area and stopped at a park right on the lake where we ran into this large group of fluffy goslings. I tried to get closer but the parents were giving me not so subtle warnings.

My house is officially on the market.
The photos are taken by the real estate agent. They will be swapped for photos taken by the pro photographer once he's edited them.
The first open house is on May 3-4, pending confirmation. Most homes sell on the first open house. Average time on market is 9 days here.
Tomorrow is the health and safety inspection. Prayers and positive mojo that they don't find anything expensive would be so appreciated!

This is a tough one, so have to go with about the only thing that somewhat fits from my watched list: Moving - A school, superhumans and govt agency intrigues. Never really knows what's going to happen.
Well I was going to go over to my neighbors' family Easter dinner -I even got dressed up- but in my effort to finish all the food before I move, I've managed to give myself food poisoning and will most definitely not be leaving the house today

Doesn't need to be a typical flat. Any place heatable (farm/part of factorybuilding even) would do, where i am officially allowed to settle. Not a typical renter in many cases, but i am reliable.
