What do you call a megalithic tomb that isn't that anymore?
The Anta dos Pombais is a dolmen that was repurposed into a farm shelter, so it's now a prehistoric/modern hybrid. It is an excellent place to site and reflect on the passing of time and the modification of old places.

A visit to the Tholos do Barro, outside Torres Vedras, Portugal. There are ~60 tholoi in Portugal, but not (yet!) well studied. This one is in good shape and in a gorgeous location!

There's a neolithic dolmen in the outskirts of Lisbon. The Anta da Estria is surrounded by modernity: motorways have been built all around it, leaving it on an "island" between high speed roads!

Un des premiers dolmens que j'ai étudié : le dolmen de la tombe du capitaine à Villedieu (Cantal, France), un dolmen en basalte situé sur la Planèze de Saint-Flour. Sa dalle de couverture (en basalte de Bouzentès) comporte plusieurs gravures. Malgré les fouilles, on sait peu de choses sur ce monument et les gravures ne peuvent pas être datées.
