Are you looking for a sign? I have signs. I have so many signs. Buy some of my many signs from Lewis-Workshop.com, and feel the warm glow that comes from supporting a small business run by a good looking stay-at-home dad with a heart of gold and a crazy dream to buy food and pay bills.

Boosts appreciated.

Makers of the fediverse. What are the options on the market for a #3DPrinter as a replacement (or complement) to a Bambu P1S? It needs to do multi material support (i.e. like the Bambu AMS), as well as the more advanced filaments like TPU. Quality needs to be as good as a Bambu printer. Bonus if the build plate is big enough for a 300mm x 300mm print.

What printers should we be looking at with these requirements?

I've not had a proper power supply for years. Despite electronics being one of my more significant hobbies. I've always either made do with bodges, or borrowed from friends. I've been meaning to get one for the last few years but could never decide which one was best.

Eventually I decided don't let perfect be the enemy of good. So I built a basic single channel bench power supply that takes a USB-C PD input. And in theory can do 50v @ 5amps. But USB-C PD limits this to 20V @ 5a.

I did a couple tests on some lolly sticks. And it seems the BLO works.

So now I've put some on the bluing tray handle I tooted about earlier.

Hopefully should provide a nice finish for the handle.

In a day or two when it's cured...

After finishing on the wood lathe. I had some time left until my 3d print finished. So took the opportunity to finish up another project on the metal lathe. Just needed to tap a hole in one piece, and then cut a matching external thread on two other parts. That project is now ready for silver soldering. Which I'll do at home. Cos I didn't bring the blow torch with me.

A productive day. Made 3 wood handles, did a 3d print present for a friend, started another print, & finished this.

Finally completed this project. Been working on it far far far far far far far too long. It's a bluing tray based on the design by clickspring. (Search YouTube for Clicksprings video for a better idea what it's for).

The cup is my first ever go at silver soldering, and it ain't pretty. But it's gonna spend it's life being shoved into a blow torch flame, so never would stay pretty. The handle is made of ash. With a brass ferrel.
