I used to think "free" search was a no-brainer. Then I realized how much of my data, time and attention I was handing over. After having tested it for a week, I now use the paid search engine Kagi.com , and it's been a game-changer.

The level of digital tranquility that has followed is indescribable.

Finally, I feel like I'm in control of my online experience.

C'est une boite suisse qui permet via un compte gratuit d'avoir entre autre :
- une boite mail [1]
- un espace de stockage de fichier (kDrive)
- un calendar
- une liste de contact
- un outil de visio (kMeet)

il s'agit donc d'une alternative européenne à notamment gmail, google drive, google calendar, zoom.

Bref, je suis encore en phase de découverte, mais ça a l'air très prometteur !

[1] : et si vous possédez un nom de domaine vous pouvez facilement créer une boite mail en <le-nom-que-vous-voulez>@<votre-nom-de-domaine> ; même si vous avez pris votre nom de domaine chez un autre registrer (suffit de suivre leurs indications pour configurer votre DNS, c'est assez simple)

Another reason for me to quit another Google service: I needed to find our Google fi account number for my husband's work. The only way to do this is to cancel your service. The cancelation request isn't supposed to really happen, but now my husband has no cell service, and I tried to sign him up for his own Google fi, but his Google pay locked him out. If Google owns every app, then you're SOL when something goes wrong (and support can't do anything ). #tech #google #leavegoogle
