Sometimes (all the time actually) you have to be lucky. Last summer, I was filming the mist rising over the forest at sunset in Cacao, French Guiana and my drone was begging me to come back because it had no more battery. It was when I brought it home that I noticed this bird of prey on its tree facing the sunset. Just enough time to gently take its portrait. Lucky, I tell you !

It's a place that I truly love: The Old Man of Storr on the Trotternish Ridge is probably the most famous walk, and -maybe- the most beautiful attraction, on the Isle of Skye.
The Old Man (Bodach an Stòr in Gaelic), is a 55-metre-high pinnacle of basalt rock which is all that remains of a 2,800-million-year-old volcanic plug. Love it !

#Wehr vor 50 Jahren gebaut, Wehr vor 20 Jahren wegen Fischdurchlässigkeit abgerissen, Biber baut im Streckenabschnitt +/- 500m dafür
3 (DREI!) Dämme mit bis zu 2,oom Stauhöhe!
Eingebauter #Bibertäuscher zur Verminderung der Stauhöhen sind nicht effektiv, weil Wa-Bo-Verband die Wartung und den Betrieb sicherstellen kann. Pech für #Landschaftspark-#Gartendenkmal.

There is a place that I like very much for trek and photo: Plitvice Lakes NP.
The Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and the largest national park in the Republic of Croatia. The exceptional natural beauty of this area has always attracted nature lovers. As a result of that, it was declared the first national park of the Republic of Croatia as early as 8 April 1949. The process of tufa formation, through which tufa barriers and subsequently lakes are formed, is the outstanding universal value for which Plitvice Lakes received international recognition on 26 October 1979, when it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

It'a a place that I love because it's a spectacular river with incredible colors in winter time. The Sucio River (Rio Sucio) that crosses the Braulio Carrillo National Park takes its name from the color that its waters take due to the large amount of materials and sediments that it carries, coming from the central volcanic mountain range.

La rivière Sucio qui traverse le parc national Braulio Carrillo. Il tire son nom de la couleur que prennent ses eaux en raison de la grande quantité de matériaux et de sédiments qu'elle transporte, provenant de la chaîne de montagnes volcaniques centrales.

Vom Müllberg zum Naturblick. Bis 1971 hat die Westberliner #BSR im äußersten Südosten von #Rudow in #Neukölln 1.66 Mio m3 #Müll abgeladen. Dann erfolgte die Umgestaltung. Das Ergebnis: Ein 85m hoher Berg - der #Dörferblick. Bis 1986 wurde das durch Zersetzung entstandene Deponiegas (#Methan) in den Kleingärten verheizt. Heute ist die Gas-Ausbeute zu gering. Übrig bleibt der tolle Ausblick & ein #Landschaftspark
