There are no algorithms on Mastodon to find eyes for you. Hashtags are Mastodon's "algorithm"

You can follow a hashtag like a person, so every post with #cats is in your home TL, and everyone following cats sees your post.

These👇 would help, try some others, the explore column lets you test hashtags, see numbers.

What do tariffs mean for computing?

Linux.

New computers are going to be slow to arrive. Cost twice as much.

Install linux, save your perfectly fine hardware from the landfill.

All your old computers will work fine until DOGE is wearing orange onesies or the power goes off forever.

Long time Mozilla :firefox: user, though, to visit some lousy sites I occationally have to use Chromium (since stupid developers of those sites don't care about standards).

Now it's straightforward to get Chromium (not to mix with Google Chrome) from Fedora or Linux Mint repositories, I was incidentally introduced what great lengths of installing raw Chromium :windows: users needs to go :blobcatfacepalm:

Finding the right current version, getting it from nasty directory lists, etc. While right there always sits a flashy button to download :google: Chrome :pacman_ghost:

To me it clearly looks like intentional anticompetition violation. Because yes, Chromium (open source) competes with Chrome (proprietary bloatware) :blobcatthink:
