artfulrobot<p>Hey <a href="https://floss.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> users. Please boost.</p><p>I maintain (remotely) ~10 linux laptops for a client. I've used <a href="https://floss.social/tags/ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ubuntu</span></a> LTS for years because they don't need anything fancy, stability is more important that bang-up-to-dateness. But I've gone off Ubuntu because of <a href="https://floss.social/tags/snaps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>snaps</span></a> and it increasingly pushing adverts/pro-services. </p><p>Anyone got any experience with remote admin-ing and maintaining linux laptops? Would prefer <a href="https://floss.social/tags/gnome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gnome</span></a> based.</p><p><a href="https://floss.social/tags/fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fedora</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ubuntu</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/mint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mint</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/deepin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>deepin</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/ImmutableOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ImmutableOS</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Silverblue" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Silverblue</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/budgie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>budgie</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/elementaryOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>elementaryOS</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/mate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mate</span></a></p>

This is also in the works for KDE, as Harald Sitter is working on a new technologically advanced operating system tentatively named KDE Linux". Has anyone tried it?
