From the perspective of a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/government" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>government</span></a>, hyperinflation is the fastest way to reset a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/monetary" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>monetary</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/system" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>system</span></a> to regain <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/control" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>control</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/stability" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>stability</span></a>, especially if the people have already lost a lot of <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/confidence" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>confidence</span></a> in the old system. It doesn't take much to set the thing ablaze.</p>

Food prices are staggeringly high. It is heartbreaking how old friends who used to do well are now really struggling. I sent one dear friend (with an MA, who used to have good jobs) some money and she said was going out straight away to buy garri, sugar, beans. And she is not one of the worst off.
