The difference between #libertarianism & #authoritarianism really amounts to a difference of scale.

If you think you should have complete control over others within some domain that you own, but that no one should have any control over you within that domain, this is called #Hierarchy, and you are not a libertarian, you are an authoritarian. That's #feudalism.

The libertarian philosophy is that no one should have or exert any control over anyone else, period. In other words, #Equality. #USpol

But yeah, like, it's not (all) individual men, masculine people, and nonbinary or agender people who look like them lumped in.
It's the systemic reinforcement of valuing ANYONE over ANYONE ELSE. That's it. The shitty hierarchical thinking needs to stop and we all benefit.

omfg. If you hate your spouse and can't do couples counselling, DIVORCE THEM. LEAVE THEM. YOU BOTH DESERVE HAPPINESS AND CONTENTMENT. The kids don't deserve you sniping at each other, Robert. Find your own passions in life, Brenda. Split up already!

The epitome of a real man / woman / person / any gender or lack therreof is "respecting other people, including with conflict resolution AND constructive critique WHEN ASKED (or urgently required)."
Don't want to vaccinate yourself or your family? Look up measles. Learn why people donated to eliminate polio. Guess what got rid of smallpox? You don't want diptheria. Oh yeah, and consider whether you want to host a shitton of malaria parasites in your blood and liver cells.

There are so many ways of being human. We all develop in different ways & at different rates: to be slow is not a failing, smarts are not a #moral virtue.

Creating a #hierarchy of human worth paves the way for cruelty. Whose interests are served by doing this?

The Guardian · ‘The basis of eugenics’: Elon Musk and the menacing return of the R-wordBy Guardian staff reporter

"Come to think of it, every dream our great male visionaries and poets come up with of an ideal society—Plato’s city of Atlantis, Thomas More’s Utopia, Augustine’s City of God, Jesus’s kingdom of God—all of them describe societies defined by #equality, #cooperation, #,co-dependence, #empathy and #unity.

#PatriarchalMasculinity, by contrast, is defined by #hierarchy, competition, independence, stoicism and #isolation. How have we allowed this force to so thoroughly infiltrate our leaders and societies for so long when it is the exact opposite of what we see as ideal?

Truly mind boggling when you think about it."

Matriarchal Blessing · Why aren't we talking about the engine running our world?By Celeste Davis

"A brain, an ecosystem, and a city all share the following elements: integration, communication, and system history and initial conditions...In human societies, we might consider the holistic nature of culture & communication as knowledge-sharing through the senses, and the initial conditions of the society being shaped by formative traditions, structures and materials, strategies, and habits of the mind..."

We have enough resources for everyone on the planet to have a good quality of life!
Including trans people, cis people, ALL disabled people, all currently abled people, and people in the foreseeable future.
Including YOU.

We just need the fix the distribution of and communication about our shared environment and resources.

Is there a data structure that can sensibly handle multiple hierarchical classification systems?

e.g. an Orange, in terms of phylogeny is
Plantae->Eudicot->...->Citrus->sinensis

and in terms of usefulness, is
Thing->Food->fruit->orange
(and it could have multiple parents in this taxonomy, e.g. cleaning product)

Bonus points for cool visualisations of this kind information.

I admire the UK Government's belief in our frugality skills, but please learn the phrase "social murder".

Yes, even the Labour politicians and affiliates. Yes, even whichever party you consider to be the "good ones" or the "smart ones".

Hierarchies are baked into every social institution.
There's nothing wrong with wanting a simple life, or wanting to incentivise certain behaviours from other people.

You can choose to preserve and uphold everyone's human rights at any time. We have more than enough resources for everyone, regardless of #DeGrowth, global limits, or current misallocation.
