Chrysid cuckoo wasp, Chrysis ruddii possibly although highly unlikely as not previously recorded in London so more probably Chrysis ignita agg. - and you'd need a microscope to tell them apart, sleeping in a flower head in the North Marsh Pavilion pollinator garden, early evening last Sunday, 8th June 2025

Reptile survey mats have been placed on Hackney Marshes, Millfields, and in Robin Hood Community Garden. These will be used in an ongoing survey by the London Amphibian & Reptile Group and ReNature. The main species we will be looking out for is the grass snake, but the mats will also help monitor small mammals as part of the long-term recovery project led by ReNature.
