Sven Slootweg 🔜 eth0 ("still kinky and horny anyway")
Designed a new Gridfinity bin! This one is to hold various modules and development boards, microcontrollers, and so on. Sorting random components now. Wondering if I made a dumb call: merged capacitors by value instead of brand/voltage/value. Easier storage, but bad idea? Chris Huck :freecad: :ubuntu:
A friend of mine has a bunch of bicycle bearing press tools that he wanted organized in one of his toolbox drawers so they weren’t all loose and difficult to dig through when he needed one. Thanks to me, he’s aware of #gridfinity, and he asked me if I could make holders for all of them. I used the Gridfinity and Part Design workbenches in #FreeCAD to model them up. I was going to deliver them today, but unfortunately, their household is down with the flu.

#3dPrinting

Jan Wildeboer 😷:krulorange:
Going to start a link collection of parametric 3D models that use OpenSCAD. Too many good things out there are unfortunately using Fusion3D, which is not really an open alternative, IMHO. But some real gems exist in the OpenSCAD world. This parametric #gridfinity collection for example, that you can customise simply in your browser with an account at Makerworld.
