Weil <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/EU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EU</span></a> -Präsidentin Ursula von der Leyen sich anschickt, den <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/GreenDeal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GreenDeal</span></a> zu schwächen - Europas ehrgeizigsten Plan zur Bekämpfung des Klimawandels, mit dem unser Kontinent bis 2050 klimaneutral werden soll. Das bedeutet saubere Luft in unseren Städten, sichereres Trinkwasser, wiederhergestellte Wälder und Feuchtgebiete und die Verpflichtung von Unternehmen, für ihre Umweltauswirkungen Verantwortung zu übernehmen.</p><p>Doch nun sind diese hart erkämpften Schutzmaßnahmen in Gefahr und untergraben die jahrelangen Fortschritte im Klima- und Umweltschutz.</p><p>Sie nennt es „Vereinfachung“. Aber wir kennen die Wahrheit: Es handelt sich um eine als Reform getarnte Wunschliste der Umweltverschmutzer. Ein Schritt, der die hart erkämpften Schutzmaßnahmen beseitigen würde - und es großen Unternehmen ermöglichen würde, die Umwelt noch mehr zu verschmutzen, sich vor der Klimaverantwortung zu drücken und Europas Übergang zu einer grüneren, gerechteren Zukunft zu verlangsamen.</p><p>Doch noch besteht die Chance, das zu verhindern. Von der Leyen kann das nicht alleine schaffen - sie braucht europäische Parlamentarier und nationale Vertreter, die ihren Plan unterstützen. Und da schalten wir uns ein.</p><p>Wenn wir uns jetzt zu Wort melden, können wir das Blatt noch wenden.
