Donald Hobern<p>I'm aggressively moving away from <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/Microsoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Microsoft</span></a>, <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/Google" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Google</span></a> and <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/Adobe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Adobe</span></a> wherever I can. <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a>, <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/GIMP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GIMP</span></a>, <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/DigiKam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DigiKam</span></a> <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/VSCodium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VSCodium</span></a> and <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/GitKraken" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GitKraken</span></a> have me covered for most of my needs. </p><p>But universities love <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/MSOffice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MSOffice</span></a> and I need compatible ways to edit Word/Excel/PPT. The 365 cloud versions just get worse and worse. <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/LibreOffice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LibreOffice</span></a> mostly works, but I've just tried out <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/OnlyOffice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OnlyOffice</span></a> and compatibility seems better.</p><p>True <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/FOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FOSS</span></a> would be great, but I'd love views on OnlyOffice (for desktop editing, not cloud).</p>
