SHoW<p>The bacterial species in subgingival plaque can be grouped into 5 major complexes. The red complex (Porphyromonas gingivalis, Treponema denticola, Tannerella forsythia) is closely tied to periodontal disease severity (pocket depth, bleeding). These findings highlight the role of sequential microbial colonization in shaping pathogenic ecosystems.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/periodontitis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>periodontitis</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/gingivitis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gingivitis</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Oralhealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Oralhealth</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/publichealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>publichealth</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/microbiota" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>microbiota</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Biofilm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Biofilm</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DentalCare" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DentalCare</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/health" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>health</span></a><br>From: Socransky et al., 1998. <a href="https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1600-051x.1998.tb02419.x" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">doi.org/10.1111/j.1600-051x.19</span><span class="invisible">98.tb02419.x</span></a></p>
