How would it work? </p><p>If the standard capitalist game model is a tycoon-style game where you're earning money to build things, research things, expand, exploit... What's the antidote? But in mechanics that still appeal to those who like city/factory building-style games? </p><p>It feels like there is a profound tension between solarpunk ideas of community and sustainability, vs builder/simulation games that focus on control and growth. nemo<p>Another thing I love about <a href="https://tatooine.club/tags/FulcrumDefender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FulcrumDefender</span></a> is the attention to detail in the UI - it takes a few games, but the use of space is absolutely amazing. There’s so many weapons+mod combinations, and timers, and points, and cooldowns, and keypresses, and level information. </p><p>The game UI manages to find a way to fit all of that in a 1-bit 400x240 display AND have a few enemies that darken the screen without any issues.</p><p>Lots of great <a href="https://tatooine.club/tags/gamedesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gamedesign</span></a> inspiration.</p>
