Was at Lorjé fountain pen store in Utrecht, and had a nice chat with the owner. He’s very friendly.

There were some new inks from Shanghai Stationery, a Dutch brand. Looked very nice, I will come back for those.

He also informed me that he will get the small Pilot Iroshizuku bottles in all colors, which made me very happy.

An affordable Pilot pen is coming in September, looks a bit like the TWSBI Eco.

Cool visit, bought nothing (shockingly)

How bad does an 8+ year old Moleskine journal I had laying around handle fountain pens?

Pretty badly!

Maybe I’m posh but to me this is unusable.
The writing experience was also shit.

Maaike from the past only used ball pens.

Ah ha! A review I found indicated this feed housing unscrews rather than pulls, and lo, I now have a Moonman/Majohn Wancai #FountainPen with a glass dip nib! Pity the nib unit arrived with the point slightly chipped; I'm not sure if it's worth complaining about rather than just trying out sanding it

AliExpress #FountainPen report - the new A1 has arrived, and unlike the first did not arrive with its box, but at least it did have lots-n-lots-n-lots of bubblewrap. Also received the small Majohn glass dip pen, plus a glass nib unit and a cheap-in-sale Wancai to try it out in.
