Übrigens: Wenn ihr mit EasyTAG aus FLACs Coverbilder rauslöscht, werden sie nicht kleiner! Dafür müsstet ihr sie einmal erneut durch den #FLAC-Encoder jagen. Das mach ich mittels #soundKonverter aus KDE. Gegebenenfalls sample ich damit auch verrückte HD-Audios von 24-Bit auf 16-Bit runter. Dafür oben unter "Benutze Plugin:" SoX statt FLAC wählen und dann in den Einstellungen von SoX "Qualität der Sample-Rate-Änderung: Sehr hoch" wählen! Außerdem natürlich dann FLAC-Kompression auf L8.

Finally found a CD ripper for Linux – Whipper – with the goal of creating accurate copies, rather than doing it fast.

It's a command line tool, which may sound daunting, but after running a few commands to calibrate the settings to your CD-ROM, it's as easy as typing "whipper cd rip" to rip to FLAC with metadata from MusicBrainz. Very nice!

Anybody know anything about spectral analysis of flacs? I found a rip of a CD and even though its has a 100% log file, some spectrals make it look like it could be a lossy master.

I plan to upload this to a private tracker but dont want to get banned lol.

These are the tracks I'm concerned about:
02: There looks to be some blocking across the track, maybe thats just the music though? Looks weird to me
10: I think thats just because its electronic "beep boop" sounding music lol, not sure how else to explain it.
16: I see some blocking in a few places in the track
20: maybe a tiny bit of blocking, but also a weird "ghosting" above 20k?
I provided zooms for 2, 16, and 20, each of 2 seconds long, not sure if thats too short. I didn't provide it for the other ones since the others look fine, I can provide them though.

i really like those little quality of life things in #KDE ... i just discoverd that if i put an audio cd in my drive i get a folder in dolphin where i can just copy&paste #mp3 - or #opus, #flac,...) files in my music folder to #rip it. no external software needed, cddb has been queried and settings for encoding are present in the system preferences...

like it was back in the day with #BeOS and aiff drag&drop directly off the cd.
