Marcus Adams<p>So <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Mozilla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mozilla</span></a> has a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/shopping" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>shopping</span></a> assistant extension called <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FakeSpot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FakeSpot</span></a> that can analyze product reviews to look for fake reviews, rate products or sellers, etc. I'm generally not a fan of shopping extensions, but I trust Mozilla, to a certain extent, more than many others.</p><p>That said, when I clicked "Analyze Reviews" on a product page to get more information about a product's grade, they turned around and showed me ads for a competing product.</p><p>Will continue checking it out.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Privacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Privacy</span></a></p>
