At the moment I have to continually hit the key and it's annoying. When using the arrow keys, it works fine. </p><p>I've searched for character repeat, and all I get is how to repeat a command with . which is not what I want. </p><p>Tyia</p><p><a href="https://front-end.social/tags/emacs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>emacs</span></a> <a href="https://front-end.social/tags/evilMode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>evilMode</span></a> <a href="https://front-end.social/tags/OrgMode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OrgMode</span></a></p>

But I too feel the disharmony between <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Evilmode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Evilmode</span></a> and <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Emacs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Emacs</span></a> from time to time, and have been thinking about using Vanilla for at least a year now. The problem is, every time I do I feel so clumsy, and I often find that certain things that are simple in Evil mode I can't figure out how to do in Vanilla, so I always go back. I need to give it a real try for a month or so.</p>
