A couple of weeks ago I attended #EuroPython2025. In a word - sensational. If you want to read more, please enjoy my blog post.

Pretty sure #EuroPython 2025 was my top 1 fav conference ever. Just the perfect mixture of catching up with people I know, meeting people I don’t know, learning new things. Time well spent chatting w/ Python veterans and also first-timers
Volunteering there was ACE, and for #Django people, I’m thankful we got to have a booth, and birthday cake for our project
THANK YOU to everyone who was part of this - attendees, organizers, sponsors, everyone
Thanks to everyone for taking part in the #CPython sprint at #EuroPython2025!
Across all CPython repos this weekend:
* 122 PRs created (69 the previous weekend)
* 79 PRs merged (65)
* countless invaluable in-person discussions (a few?)
Today wraps up #EuroPython2025 for me. I wanted to visit the first day of the sprints, but did the same mistake as last year by having way too tight of a schedule. At least I'm in not stuck in Leipzig at 1 AM
This year was a blast! I don't know if it was objectively better, but it was better for me personally. I could overcome shyness way better than last time and made more great acquaintances It makes having to leave now even sadder, but I'm looking forward to next year's #EuroPython (and maybe some other conferences in the meantime, who knows
)
At #EuroPython2025 in Prague for #FediDonutFriday yesterday, I had potato doughnuts with cottage cheese and plum butter
This afternoon at EuroPython we saw a special 20 minute excerpt from the long anticipated “Python: The Documentary” by CultRepo.
After that we had a keynote Q&A panel with Brett Cannon, Armin Ronacher and Paul Everitt
Both things have been a great moment of the conference.

At #EuroPython2025, a seat has been reserved for the late Michael Foord.
To help remember his wisdom, I've made @voidbot to share his best practices for software development and testing. Follow and learn!

Last night was the social event at EuroPython 2025. For me, it started a little early with a delicious pizza with Antonio in the center of Prague, and then continued on Střelecký Island with tons of people, despite the rain. Thanks to the organizers for creating these moments of networking.

Sebastián Ramírez (tiangolo) is presenting the keynote "Behind the scenes of FastAPI and friends for developers and builders" closing the second day of EuroPython 2025 in Prague.
Full house and interesting questions about features, PEPs and more at the "CPython Core Development Panel" at #europython2025 in Prague.
Brett Cannon, Python Core Developer, is presenting the opening keynote of the second day of EuroPython 2025, on "Why it took 4 years to get a lock files specification."
The second day of #europython2025 starts with the much anticipated keynote from @brettcannon about "Why it took 4 years to get a lock files specification".
The first minutes of the presentation already show that the self-proclaimed tall, snarky Canadian also has a great sense of humor.
Thanks for coming to Europe to share your experience!

Excellent lightning talks at #EuroPython, including:
the now-traditional, mandatory meta-lightning talk about lightning talks, by Sebastien Williams-Wynn
essential tips on saying no -- "if the answer is no, answer immediately. if it's yes, wait 24h" -- plus the pictured estimation advice
a fun rhyming talk on the perils of float: 0.1 + 0.2 and friends
cool signal processing by Stanley Langa turning secret audio into images
"learn by getting uncomfortable (I am very uncomfortable right now)" #EuroPython #EuroPython2025
Next up @foosel with "How to deal with toxic people".
Great variety of talks here at #europython2025.

Yesterday, me, @shine and others installed a retrogaming experience exhibition at @europython Prague. It will be there until Friday afternoon, so if you're at the venue, drop by and play games like it's 1982!
And check out https://herniarchiv.cz/ and https://retroherna.org/ for details on Czech Gaming History NGO, which aim is to preserve and properly archive the unique gaming industry moments in our country's history
