Vandaag SimWallet van Odido uitgeprobeerd, de 1 dag eSIM variant. Maar dit was nog geen onverdeeld succes. Vooral de snelheid en stabiliteit vielen tegen, maar dat kan ook zijn doordat we op een locatie zitten met slechte dekking. Een ander probleem is dat ik een ip adres kreeg die werd herkend met locatie Londen, in Engeland. Hierdoor werken o.a de npo streams niet, en ook andere apps gaven problemen. Installatie en gebruik gingen verder wel soepel.

Meine 2 #Fairphone5 mit #eSim haben sich gerade bei der Fahrt über die Grenze von Deutschland nach Holland neu gestartet. Sehr unpraktisch, wenn gerade das Navi auf einem der Geräte läuft.

- Nummernwechsel ohne erneuten ID-Nachweis.

Aktuell habe ich nur Spezial-/Profidienste im Rennen (seven.io, Sipgate, etravelsim.com). Die meisten Prepaid-Anbieter bieten wohl keinen bequemen Nummernwechsel-/Zubuchung, höchstens per Hotline und teuer.

eSIM "needs an awareness campaign", says one company that sells #eSIM. That's #BS.

eSIM needs a #rethink by some operators. If you can't activate an eSIM while #Roaming, if you are charged $10 everytime you install the eSIM on a different device, the eSIM is not a #service but treats the #customer like the #enemy. Shove it.

irgendwo hab ich gelesen dass man #esim karten auch kaufen kann und sie in den regulaeren simkarten einschub tun kann, fuer telefone die noch keine verloetete esim haben. kennt jemand die produktbezeichnung fuer sowas? ich find irgendwie nix vernuenftiges.. #hivemind danki

Even een hulpvraag. Ik probeer een eSIM abonnement af te sluiten maar kom er achter dat je verplicht de app van de provider moet installeren (iig bij KPN en Odido) en dat wil ik niet omdat ik geen zin heb mijn gegevens met hun te delen.
Weet iemand een provider waar het installeren van de app niet nodig is? En moet je de app op je telefoon laten of kun je die er weer afgooien als de eSIM werkt? #dtv #esim #privacy #kpn #odido
