La UE si prepara a sanzionare X: si profila una multa miliardaria, da HDblog.it

Secondo quanto rivelato da quattro fonti anonime le misure punitive sono attese per l'estate 2025 e dovrebbero includere sia una consistente sanzione pecuniaria sia richieste specifiche di modifiche al funzionamento della piattaforma. Prima applicazione di sanzioni sotto il regime del #dsa .

@fsteiner.bsky.social OK so is your sole argument that (a) you have covered the DSA for 5 yrs and (b) don't believe €1bn would be proportionate under the ?

I mean I really don't know what the EC would consider proportionate even after having worked on influencing the DSA for 6(!) years ;) but even always claimed this wasn't political until of course it was.

And to be honest, I can't see any more likely moment for DSA enforcement to turn political than right now.

In Polizeikreisen werden offenbar in unzulässiger Weise Informationen über Metas Messengerdienst #Whatsapp ausgetauscht. Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz in NRW, Bettina Gayk, hat eine Warnung herausgegeben, laut der diese Praxis "aus Datenschutzgesichtspunkten nicht hinzunehmen ist", zumal den Dienststellen polizeieigene datenschutzkonforme Alternativen zur Verfügung stehen.
