I love the shape of the entrance to the former Elder Cottage Hospital on Drumoyne Drive in Glasgow. Founded by Isabella Elder in 1902, it was designed in a Late Englsh Renaissance style by J.J. Burnet.

One of the Cochrane Street entrances to Glasgow City Chambers. Built in the 1880s, it was designed by William Young. The two figures in the spandrels above the arch seen to represent Literature (on the left reading a book) and Music (on the right playing a lyre). All in all, not bad for a side entrance!

Love these Classical style tenement doors on La Belle Place in Glasgow. These tenements were designed by Charles Wilson and were built in 1857. The sculpted semi-circular shell patterns above the doors are particularly impressive.
I only noticed this rather unusual doorway on Byres Road in the West End of Glasgow for the first time today. It's the former entrance to a restaurant and dining rooms called Dowanhill House which was situated in the upper floors of this building. The Art Deco style design suggests this entrance was created in the 1920s or 1930s and the dining rooms closed in the 1970s when City Bakeries took over the premises on the ground floor.
To mark their 25 anniversary in 1907, they had their premises remodelled by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who, amongst other things, created this rather wonderful Art Nouveau style door for them.
The entrance to 5 Blythswood Square in Glasgow. Built around 1829, in 1895, this building became home to the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists, which had been founded in 1882 by eight female students from the Glasgow School of Art (since the nearby Glasgow Art Club would not admit female artists, a policy which only changed in 1980).
