There are still many people blocking the road on the side, per the reporting (perhaps an exit / entrance road or overpass), and police are working to disperse these crowds (the freeway is still effectively blocked). Some protesters are being arrested.

Every Dem MOC should be holding press conferences from the Capitol steps, getting booked on media outlets, appearing on YouTube/TikTok, posting on SM… explaining the🚨illegality of the #TrumpRegime’s #Immigration crackdown, improper use of the NG, tear gas…, provocation, lawlessness, Constitution violations…

Only a few Dem lawmakers are sounding the alarm. We need to amplify their voices, demand a #NationalStrike, encourage everyone to participate in a #NoKings event…

Per the reporting, the LAPD (police of LA) have moved the crowds away from the federal detention facility where the federalized National Guard troops were sent.

But the crowds are now blocking a major highway. LAPD officers have threatened arrest.

The reporting stated that the LAPD and National Guard troops are now working together.

Per the reporter, the LAPD is telling the downtown protesting crowd to “leave the area” and pushing them back.

The news commentator said that the LAPD tends not to use pepper spray on a crowd, but the federal government will 😐

(Note: There are different protests in progress now in LA. Per the previous reporting, the crowds were much smaller and quieter earlier.)

Oh my, now the crowd of protesters is MUCH larger than it was before.

Apparently, the LAPD is going on “tactical alert” and joining the National Guard and DHS to control the crowd (the LAPD apparently moved the crowd that was near the federal building to an area where they were more easily controlled).

Sure, a few of the protesters were “mouthy,” as a reporter noted, but nothing had happened all day. I had been watching the broadcast kind of in the background for quite a bit, and honestly, it was boring and I was about to shut it off.

Officials told the crowd to stand behind a line of some sort, but it was difficult to tell where that line was, per the reporter.

Could it be the powers-that-be wanted that image? 🤔

After all, Trump said earlier today (when speaking with reporters as referenced in previous posts in this thread ) that if protesters “spit,” they (presumably the National Guard “troops” and federal law enforcement) would “slap” (harder).

This New York Time headline and image does NOT depict what I saw happen (in the previous live broadcast).

To me, the words combined with the image make it look like the National Guard had to fend off violent protesters, when that just wasn’t the case. From what I saw, the people were peacefully gathered on the sidewalk, exercising their First Amendment Constitutional rights.

Mass deportation🚨: declaration of war on LA. Nearly 1/2 of LA Co is either 1st or 2nd gen in the US. If you want mass #deportations,💔you want to destroy the city, & that's exactly what they want.

Why they lie: if ppl don't think it’s dangerous criminals who’re: focus of the deportation effort, support drops dramatically."

CNN: peaceful protesters by: #detention cen: pushed back into the st, vehicles filled w detainees came thru, then unprovoked -agents fired🌶️balls at the protesters!
