Instant information prevents wonder and curiosity.
Social media’s dopamine-addiction denies us the pleasures of boredom, reflection and slow discovery.
Artificial Intelligence vomits finished product at the click of a button and wears down our ability to research, create and evaluate. Why write an essay when you can achieve the word-count in seconds and spend the time you've saved scrolling on Facebook and envying other people’s pretend lives?
Autocorrect means me don’t have to know how to spell anymore.
Technology does not prevent us doing these things. It makes them unnecessary.
We choose convenience.
We choose the shortcut
What are we losing if we give away our ability to think, connect, create, discover, wonder, remember, build and achieve?
Perhaps we’re giving away our humanity.
Convenience is impoverishment.
