Filipino standup comedian Gold Dagal died following a shooting in Pampanga.

Dagal reportedly had been receiving a lot of death threats since he joked about Iglesia ni Cristo, a religious organization with 2.8M members, is present in 156 countries, and supports the Duterte family. He also made social commentaries to remind people of human rights and abuse of authority.

Chinese cryptocurrency entrepreneur Justin Sun outbid six rivals to get the "Comedian" installation by Italian visual artist Maurizio Cattelan. Sun says he will eat the banana — which was bought earlier in the day for $0.35 — as part of the artistic experience. The installation comes with helpful instructions on how to replace the fruit when it rots. "Comedian" was first unveiled to the public in 2019, fueling heated debates about what art is. And have it be whatever you want - comedians@a.gup.pe or comedyrecs@a.gup.pe. Then all posts will go to everyone following the group. I don't currently see one listed for comedians.

You can also try following certain hashtags like #comedian #comedy etc. Then whenever someone posts using that hashtag it will show up in your feed. And you can start some of your own #comedyrecs
