I love reading Books. I love reading physical books, you know the ones that you hold in your hand. I love Foliate, which I have encountered on one of my Open Source operating system distributions.
Since I love reading physical books it was normal and natural for me that Foliate had a regular light theme because paper is white to light yellow.
The light theme was chosen even though my desktop had a dark team, also logical.
Now I was fortunate enough to get a free set of fantastic books which are accessible through a DRM walled system by Amazon. Their closed Source clients did the following infuriating thing.
When it started it up, kindle gave a brief warning that it was going to change something which turned out to be the theme which it brought to dark, and I have not found the easily accessible option to change it back to the light theme.
How Bad a programmer must you be, to change something as important as a theme in a ebook reader and not put easily accessible option to change it back.
I know what I'll do; I'm going to strip the DRM of the books, so that I can read them in my normally programmed Open Source eBook reader, which doesn't change the theme at all, especially not for no apparent logical reason
Grrr
