Fui testar o #ChatGTP do chinês #DeepSeek e perguntei-lhe sobre a independência do #Tibete. Em segundos um longo texto em português apareceu, comecei a ler e pareceu-me neutro e factual, mas antes que conseguisse terminar desapareceu e foi substituído por esta mensagem em inglês 🤪:

"Sorry, that's beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else."

EurekAlert!Large artificial intelligence language models, increasingly unreliableRecent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have led to the widespread use of large language models in our society in fields such as education, science, medicine, art and finance, among many others. These models are increasingly present in our daily lives. However, they are less reliable than users expect. This is the conclusion of a study led by a team from the VRAIN Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Valencian Graduate School and Research Network in Artificial Intelligence (ValgrAI), together with the University of Cambridge, published today in the journal Nature. The study reveals an ‘alarming’ trend: compared to the first models, and considering certain aspects, reliability has worsened in the most recent models (GPT-4 compared to GPT-3, for example).

Just watched first 5min of this somewhat terrifying video. Would love to hear from people who know more about #AI #AGI #ChatGTP etc. i mean, should we all know more about this - and how bad is it going to be?

Also: how will all these different trends combine - this with #ClimateEmergency and ecological breakdown, rise of #Fascism and no doubt a lot more war/genocidal destruction.

It's clearly a well-coordinated demo, but there are lots of interesting things going on in this update from #OpenAI showcasing their new model #ChatGTP 4o:

It responds to speech inputs in a conversational way, replying in real time with spoken comments on code it is shown. When screen sharing is active (wonder if there are security/data protection issues here?) it can 'read' a graph

But - no mention of #sustainability according to this report -
