After watching #WWE #Backlash, then immediately following it up with the Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels Casket Match at the 1998 #RoyalRumble the difference is stark. Late 90s Undertaker and Michaels are at the top of their game so it’s not a great comparison to Cena and Orton, but also I didn’t realize how much weight JR and Lawler brought to matches with their commentary. Cole and Barrett just don’t have the same impact for me.
