I did some target practice at night with an azalea with a nearly faded red blossom and white stamens that look like tiny ballsand several small buds that grow on the leaves.

The same azalea, this time partially illuminated by blue light - no editing except cropping. Now some of the buds and parts of the blossom appear blue, while some parts of it appear pink. Its stamens look like tiny whit and turquoise balls.

躑躅 [Tsutsuji] : Azalea

Mochitsutsuji gets its name from the stickiness of the calyxes, the peduncles and the young leaves by the flowers when touched.

#Mondog It was hot today at 85F/29C. We waited again to let the sun calm down a bit and had an outdoor time. Just doing this with him is so therapeutic, and it never gets old. I wish we could send you the strong fragrance of the azaleas.

A cloudy but very comfortable day. A storm is forecast for later tonight and I hope it won't be severe.
Colors come out much better on a cloudy day than a sunny day, making Kengo look better, not? Daffodils came back. Also the yardmen came last evening, and the yard looks much better. One more day.
