t3hh<p>Sorry, not sure I can follow your arguments here. <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/Signal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Signal</span></a> has <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/developed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>developed</span></a> a <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/desktop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>desktop</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/application" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>application</span></a>. They already have <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/invested" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>invested</span></a> all that <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/money" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>money</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/effort" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>effort</span></a> and it has nothing to do with desktop being or not being a primary <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/platform" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>platform</span></a>. However, for using the desktop app, Signal requires <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/registration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>registration</span></a> and constant <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/call" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>call</span></a>-back to their <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/smartphone" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>smartphone</span></a> app. With all the respect, none of your arguments are explaining that behaviour. It's not about what user prefer, it's about something else.</p>
