Das Bild zeigt eine Säule mit mehreren Handabdrücken, die darauf hindeuten, dass diese Stelle möglicherweise von Menschen häufig benutzt wurde.

Das Schwarz-Weiß-Foto zeigt eine Ecke einer Beton- oder Steinsäule im Innenbereich. Auf beiden Seiten der Säule sind mehrere Handabdrücke in dunkler Farbe zu sehen, die vermutlich durch wiederholtes Berühren mit schmutzigen Händen entstanden sind. Die Abdrücke sind unregelmäßig und nicht gleichmäßig, was darauf hindeutet, dass sie nicht absichtlich angebracht wurden. Die Abdrücke auf einer Seite sind etwas deutlicher ausgeprägt als auf der anderen. Die Oberflächenstruktur der Säule ist leicht uneben. Im Hintergrund sind unscharf Teile eines Gebäudes zu erkennen, die auf einen Flur oder einen Gang hindeuten. Die allgemeine Atmosphäre des Bildes ist ruhig und etwas geheimnisvoll, fast gespenstisch durch den Kontrast zwischen der glatten Säule und den unregelmäßigen Abdrücken. Es entsteht ein Gefühl der Vergänglichkeit und der Spuren von menschlicher Anwesenheit. Die Stimmung ist eher melancholisch und nachdenklich als bedrohlich.

Old stone line shack and stone corral.

A black and white landscape photo of a barren flat dirt area with a hill going up toward the left in the background. The hill is in shadow while sunlight shines on a small single room shack on the left and and one wall of a round corral made of stones at the base of the hill. A very large boulder makes up a short section of the corral, but the majority of it is made from medium sized stack stones. The shack has an open doorway and a flat roof that tilts off toward the left side of the building. Some abandoned lumber lays in the dirt in the foreground. The sky is medium dark gray from the photo processing and there's a very tiny hint of a puffy cloud in the upper right.
