Ugh. </p><p>But, my leg seems to like being "warmed up" by cycling. Maybe I'll try a short ride tomorrow before trying a run. 🤔</p>

Good ride around <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Ottawa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ottawa</span></a>, with a majority of the time spent in (heart rate) Zone 2 and 3 (which was the goal).</p><p>Leg is still sore, only causing pain when walking. May try a run tomorrow, depending how it feels. </p><p>I have to go out for a ride to an appointment, and of course, there's a humidex now. &lt;sigh&gt;</p>

Took it easy on the leg, it's still sore, but walking on it is tolerable. </p><p>The break in the weather is really appreciated, though as we close in on the start of vacation at the end of the week.</p>

Went out for a 10K run, and around 4.7K or so, my left calf started to cramp, so I stopped, massaged and stretched it out. Ran a bit more, more cramping. It became clear to me that I was done running for the day and painfully limped home.</p><p>Will take it easier tomorrow. 🤷🏻</p>

Usually I have others to participate with me, but since I don’t, I’m calling on those of you out there to get together in your cohorts, do 100 of something everyday with me for the month of August, and tell me how its going for you. Burpees, push-ups, sit-ups, a mile run/walk, 100 of some exercise for 31 days with me, that’d be rad! The key is unity, solidarity, so try to do them at least with one other person. About twenty-some minutes into the ride, I wondered about my heart rate and switched my Apple Watch over to that mode, and tried to stay in Zone 2 for the rest of the ride. I normally sit at the top of Z1 cruising along. Hmmm 🤔</p>

My heart rate shot up so quickly in the heat that obviously this wasn't going to work. Run slow? No, run even slower. No, slower than that. No, slower to about 1 minute/KM faster than my fastest walking speed.</p><p>Even then, my body just doesn't like this weather; I lost 1.8 KG on the run (another data point I track).</p><p>At least I'm done with being outside for the day.</p>
WTL<p>Thursday <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Workout" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Workout</span></a>:<br>10.5 KM of <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Cycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Cycling</span></a> (33°C, 42C Humidex, 51% humidity, and 31 KM/H wind, gusting to 42 KM/H)</p><p>Played hooky, biked with <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mindly.social/@TAV" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>TAV</span></a></span> to go see Jurassic World Rebirth (it's okay), got home before the incoming thunderstorm arrived.
