Microsoft oficjalnie potwierdził na swojej stronie Windows Release Health, że sierpniowe aktualizacje z cyklu Patch Tuesday wprowadziły poważny błąd w systemach Windows 10 i 11.
Problem dotyczy kluczowych opcji odzyskiwania i resetowania systemu, które po zainstalowaniu najnowszych łatek przestały działać poprawnie. Firma już pracuje nad awaryjnym rozwiązaniem.

Użytkownicy, którzy po zainstalowaniu sierpniowych aktualizacji spróbują skorzystać z funkcji „Resetuj ustawienia komputera do stanu początkowego” (Reset my PC) lub „Napraw problemy przy użyciu usługi Windows Update”, mogą napotkać na błąd uniemożliwiający przeprowadzenie operacji. Problem dotyczy również narzędzi do zdalnego czyszczenia urządzeń, co może być szczególnie kłopotliwe w środowiskach firmowych.
Błąd dotyczy szerokiej gamy wciąż wspieranych, popularnych wersji systemu. Na liście opublikowanej przez Microsoft znajdują się Windows 11 w wersjach 23H2 i 22H2 oraz Windows 10 w wersji 22H2, a także edycje korporacyjne LTSC 2021 i 2019. Co ciekawe, problem nie występuje na najnowszej wersji systemu, Windows 11 24H2, ani na wersjach serwerowych.

Ze względu na powszechność i wagę problemu, Microsoft pracuje nad pilną poprawką. Zostanie ona udostępniona w formie aktualizacji pozazakresowej (out-of-band), co oznacza, że użytkownicy nie będą musieli czekać na kolejny regularny Patch Tuesday, który planowany jest na 9 września 2025 roku. Awaryjna łatka powinna pojawić się w najbliższym czasie.
Ich rate auch euch ab, jetzt noch engagiert über Linux-Migration wegen des #Windows10-Aus zu bloggen, Linux-Installationspartys zu planen etc. Mit der alarmistischen Kommunikation schaden wir uns eher. Microsoft macht das geschickter als gedacht.
Die einfache Verlängerung der kostenfreien Updateversorgung für #Windows10 um mindestens ein weiteres Jahr trifft natürlich besonders die PC-Magazine hart.

@alex hmm … ich hab von Technik wenig Ahnung, aber #Linux benutze ich schon seit … Jahrzehnten. Heute wurde in einem Bericht über die Alternativen zu #Windows10 für Computer, die nicht auf #Windows11 umgestellt werden, Linux als sehr „kompliziert“ dargestellt. Ich sehe das komplett umgekehrt!
Mit den verschachtelten #Windoof #Einstellungen komm ich nicht klar. Beim #IPad ist es übrigens ähnlich verschachtelt und unübersichtlich. Wo stellt man was ein?

I don't have the stats of those who bought Win10 extended security coverage, but I suspect is is way below 100%.
I would not be surprised come December or January we will see a flood of zero day targeting these devices. This may cause massive headaches for IT and Security in the workplace and at home with family.
