The only incident occurred when the cobbles shook open my saddle bag zip and some contents fell out. I retrieved some but lost a multitool and a T-30 key. Since then, I’ve used saddle bags that have closure clips.</p><p>It must be quite lucrative for the locals near to the first cobbled sections! Don't bring your best bike! The guy in front of me had snapped off his carbon seatpost on the first cobbled section and was gingerly making his way along with his behind over a large spike...helped get an ambulance for a crash on the Paterberg descent...and my cleats broke on the Bosberg so I had to coast/push the last few freezing cold miles.
