Still amazing to me that Davinci Resolve give you totally free upgrades again and again and again, having paid for the studio license just that one time.
Looking at #Blender again for #videoEditing and it's obvious that it's still an afterthought. However, Blender supports more formats/AgX than other #foss video editors and it has a strong compositor. What's needed is a fork and redesign of the UI to make a good editor out of it. It can't live inside Blender and still work & look good. The all-in-one UI works for the 3D pipeline, but not for the editing/grading part. The needs are just different.
By using #foss video editors I gave up color grading that was capable of believable film emulation (via Resolve and its third party plugins).
But it's even more disturbing that none of these foss apps support 10bit h.264/5. Let alone Raw. This kind of makes them useless to me, as most of my cameras record as such. In fact, most new non-phone cameras record as such by default.
If I'm not mistaken, one of the libraries/models used for the object selection in #Krita is the same as the one used for #Kdenlive's new Object Mask effect (#SAM2).

Ich hab da mal eine Frage zu #VideoEditing – weder wichtig noch dringend, würd mich nur mal interessieren, ob das geht.
Im Juni 2014 zog Sturmtief Ela über NRW und brachte massive Gewitter mit. Mit dem einzigen videofähigen Gerät, das ich damals hatte – ein HTC Desire, das nur 640 x 480 px mit 5 fps konnte – habe ich an meinem Fenster Sequenzen des nächtlichen Gewitters aufgezeichnet. Leider habe ich dabei den Fehler gemacht, im Zimmer das Licht anzulassen. 
Gibt es nun einen Trick, einen Filter in einem Editing-Programm oder sonstwas, mit dem der Lichtfleck der Lampe rausgenommen und Farben und Helligkeit entsprechend korrigiert werden könnten, als ob das Licht nicht an gewesen wäre?

Taking my first dip into the @kdenlive pool. I'll still need Resolve for specific things related to my paid work but whenever I can, I'll support something free and community maintained. Loving it so far and impressed with how feature packed it is.
