Feoh<p>I'm convinced that anyone who enjoys playing with <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/modularsynth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>modularsynth</span></a> is very much in touch with their inner child.</p><p>Because let me tell you, my inner 8 year old is practically SQUEE-ing with delight at the teeny tiny little VCO <-> Delay <-> Sequencer loop I created using <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/vcvrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vcvrack</span></a> </p><p>Make no mistake, you can't dance to this, and it's not THAT cool on its face... BUT <em>I</em> made it in 3-4 minutes of twiddling, and I am having a BALL with this software.</p><p>My hope is that this will eventually wend its way back to the Akai <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/midi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>midi</span></a> keyboard I tried to teach myself to play piano on, and I think it will, but for now I am enjoying making crazy sounds with voltage, oscillators and the like <em>immensely</em>.</p>

Basically spent the whole day already on this.</p><p><a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/vcvRack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vcvRack</span></a> refuses to use Jack (which is indeed <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Pipewire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Pipewire</span></a> here)… but it seems to to the job when set to <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Alsa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Alsa</span></a>. </p><p><a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/DaVinciResolve" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DaVinciResolve</span></a> insists on having no GPU, turns out it needs proprietary <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/amdgpu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>amdgpu</span></a> drivers. Not a priority.
