The Apple Liquid Glass debate is reminiscent of Windows Vista, which also had semi-transparent chrome on its windows and dialog boxes in 2008.
The new generation of Apple designers didn't learn from the old generation's Windows mistakes, I guess.
Or maybe we don't see Apple's vision, yet. Should we listen harder and look harder?

Visual aspects of software help solve problems by communicating clearly, complying with standards—so users don't have to learn a whole new visual language—and perhaps by evoking an intended emotional response.
Software design is also about addressing business drivers or organisational drivers.
Skilled designers can balance all this without causing tension for either the intended audience or the business or organisation.

All the positive #userExperience points #HackerOne earned for how they were rolling out mandatory #2FA were just erased by them sending out reminder email to all of their users about configuring 2FA without filtering out the users who had already done it.
That's some lazy, user-hostile bullshit, is what that is.
When you know which users have already followed your instructions, you don't need to waste their time making them go back and check. #smdh
